It’s always a bit of a gamble to buy a used Audi, especially one with a Lamborghini-derived V10 engine, but this one seems like a better bet than most. It’s been well maintained by its two prior owners and despite pushing 80k miles looks showroom-fresh inside and out. I also find the subdued styling on these quite appealing, especially here where it conceals a 435 hp beast of a motor under hood. Truly a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
This one’s been kept up properly through the years, but you’ll still want to stash away at least $150 a month for your maintenance slush fund for when it breaks. Because it will. Still I’d argue it’s far more rational to spend your money that way than to lease something new and throw away four or five times that much on depreciation alone.
It’s offered on craigslist HERE by a private seller in the Portland area for $13,900. which isn’t unreasonable but probably could be negotiated down a bit. I’d say anything under $13,000 would be pretty well bought.
