Nice 3rd generation TL examples don’t pop very often, especially in Type-S trim. But this one seems to check most of the boxes. It’s a low mile, one owner, dealer serviced car wearing terrific Kona Blue Pearl factory paint (which is only available on the Type-S).
Perhaps the one ding against it is the automatic gearbox. But I wouldn’t slight it too much since these are better grand tourers than sports sedans. Also the automatic reportedly helps to quell the TL’s notorious torque steer.
This one is offered on craigslist HERE by a private seller in the Bay Area for $11,700. That is a touch on the expensive side, especially for an automatic. I would aim for $11k or less, unless it turns out to be an absolutely pristine example.
