If you’re shopping for a nice SUV for less than ten grand, this well-kept first-gen MDX is worth a serious look. With a 265 hp V6, plus AWD and other goodies standard, it’s a nice upgrade from the more common and basic CR-Vs that are typically in this same price range.
This one has a few miles under its belt but seems to have been pampered by its current and original owners, who note regular dealer service, including a recent timing belt, plus brand new Michelins. At $7700, it’s not the cheapest one out there but is worth a bit of a premium for its outstanding condition and well-documented history.
Note that Honda’s 5-speed automatic transmission fitted here is a rare weak spot, so we’d advise having it checked by a specialist prior to finalizing the sale.
