It’s a bit pricey, but this fastidiously maintained E46 checks a whole lot of boxes, including: great colors, a 6-speed manual gearbox, lots of tasteful upgrades, plus of course the highly desirable ZHP package, which bumps the M54 inline six by 10 horses to 235 hp, upgrades the wheels and suspension, and offers a host of other goodies.

ZHP-equipped E46s have been inching up in value, riding the coattails of their M3 siblings, which regularly fetch over twenty grand on Bring a Trailer. Considering that trend, plus the impressive list of recent maintenance (detailed in the listing), the $13,000 ask here is probably not too far off – though it wouldn’t hurt trying to negotiate a little.

It’s offered on craigslist HERE by a private seller in the Bay Area.

I still love my ZHP after 16+ years of driving it. It just does everything you need so well.

This one has the Natural Brown leather interior which I really like.

Good find.

What do you think of the price at $13k – realistic?

It does have a great maintenance history with most of the common E46 faults already fixed, good colors and seems to be in great condition.

$10k would be a great deal. $11.5k if you really love it.

Agreed. I think if I were in the market, I might go all the way to $12k just to lock up the deal, but I think that’s overpaying a little.
