This is one of the nicer R129 generation SLs I’ve seen for sale in a while. It’s perfectly optioned with both the SL1 and SL2 packages, giving you nice upgrades like AMG wheels and Xenon headlights. It’s also a one-owner, accident-free, West Coast car with regular dealer services through at least 31k miles (according to the Carfax report).

Listed on a small dealership website HERE for a fiver less than $16,000, it’s not egregiously priced for such a nice example. However, it’s also listed HERE on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000. If you’re interested, I’d suggest bidding there to see if you can pick it up for a bit of a discount. Assuming no hidden issues, anything under $14,000 would be pretty well bought.

I love these cars. To me, it is an out-of-the-box supercar. I have a 1994 ---- and I drive it everyday. I can park this car next to any newer Mercedes ---- and mine is the one everyone is looking at … Lol. No matter where I go — whether at the mall, grocery store, bookstore, etc — I seem to get in a conversation about the car.

To me, the r129 has all the enviable looks of a classic pedigree Mercedes ---- not archaic looking, but also not ultra modern looking. The perfect middle. image
