If you’re on the hunt for the ideal R129, this example checks many boxes, including: low miles, garaged, perfectly optioned (with both AMG wheels and Xenon headlights), plus updated top hydraulics. It’s also from one of the best years, featuring the venerable M119 V8 backed by the excellent 722.6 5-speed automatic gearbox.

Offered on the MBCA site HERE by a private seller in Springfield, Illinois, for $12,500, which is reasonable (if not slightly cheap) if everything checks out.

Another r129 commanding premium price

Nice car. I just noticed the difference with the rocker panel compared to my 1994 ---- the vehicle advertised here has a more sculptured rocker panel compared to mine. I like the look. Also, next to the horizontal slots behind the front wheels ---- does the emblem state “sport” ---- what does that signify?

That designates the “Sport” package (also referred to as the SL1 package), which includes a more aggressive looking front air dam, side skirts, and rear apron, staggered 18 inch AMG wheels with lower-profile tires, and “Sport” badges on the fenders and shift knob.
