It’s hard to find a nice, simple, well-made car for less than $10,000, but this “base” level W202 generation C-Class fits the bill. Its handsome styling (under master Bruno Sacco) still holds up well, and its interior is, to me, a “just right” combination of form and function.
And you won’t find many nicer than this low-mile and well-maintained example. Some may scoff at the M111 four cylinder under hood, but its 148 hp should be plenty to motivate the 3250 lb chassis while returning decent fuel economy (20 mpg city / 28 mpg highway).
If I was in the market for a comfortable and classy daily driver on the cheap, I’d be all over this.
Offered on eBay HERE by a private seller in the Los Angeles area for $6700 or best offer, which is reasonable for such an unusually nice one.
