I can’t imagine a better way to spend five grand than on this spectacularly nice and all-original example of a late E36 sedan. With a 5-speed manual gearbox, a two-owner SoCal history, plus a complete collection of service records, you couldn’t really ask for a more perfect specimen, short of a hardly-driven museum piece. And I’d still prefer this one, actually, because it looks almost new but has been exercised regularly (Carfax shows 3000-5000 miles per year), so there isn’t likely to be much deferred maintenance.

You can find this one offered on Autotrader HERE by a private seller in Orange County. I think it’s worth every penny of the $5500 ask.

This unusually clean E36 is back on the market after a year and a half. The seller has added 15k miles, along with new Michelins, a suspension overhaul, and a tune up.

Now offered on eBay HERE for $6750 or best offer, it remains a bargain considering the additional work that’s been done, plus the (still) low miles as well as the outstanding original condition of the body and interior.
