#1

An uber rare edition of the venerable 190E sedan. Lots of special features added and most easily identified by the special Recaro interior with red piping. This one appears to be mint.

"Up for your consideration is a rare 1993 Mercedes-Benz Limited Edition 190 2.6 Sportline. Only 700 were sold in the US. The package includes Recaro seats with red inserts and red piping in great shape, rear headrests, carbon fiber trim, sportline gear shift, sportier steering wheel, headlight wiper, low profile tires, 8 spoke rims, and a sportline tuned suspension which added tighter handling and lowered the car by a quarter inch.

This example is close to perfect with less than normal wear and tear. Purchased and serviced in San Francisco with all documentation, original sticker price, service records from dealer, brochure and certificate of Authenticity by the president of Mercedes-Benz at the time. Everything is stock with the exception of a new stereo system. A lot less than the 2.3 16 Valve 190 Cosworth. A fine example of the last year 190E W201 body style."

The 190E 2.6 Sportline is one of my favorite cars ever. The holy grail, in my opinion, is one of these with a manual gearbox. I’d take that over a 2.3-16V any day (well, unless we’re talking about a Euro version with houndstooth cloth inside).
