I don’t follow the Jaguar market very closely, but this near perfect XJS nevertheless strikes me as an incredible bargain. The interior shows almost no wear, which is unheard of in old Jags, and the original exterior paint looks sharp, too.
These cars get knocked for being slow off the line despite the V12. That’s largely due to the tall gearing of the old school 3-speed automatic gearbox. Once up to speed, though, the engine provides effortless power well into the triple digits, which is befitting a grand tourer.
No matter how you slice it, $7500 for such a gorgeous and well-kept classic is really hard to beat.
